We are having our 10th year anniversary of Vietnam Art House (VAH) this summer at our gallery in The Hague. The theme of this event is ‘Southern Soul’. We are focusing on the art solo-exhibition of acclaimed artist Nguyen Thanh Binh.

First Stage of the Nam Con Son-2 Gas Pipeline completed
The initial gas volumes have been supplied to the Nam Con Son-2 gas pipeline whose construction was started two years ago.
According to Duong Manh Son, the General Director of PV Gas, who acts as an investor in this project, the Nam Con Son-2 gas pipeline was included in the General Plan for Development of the Gas Industry of the South Eastern Region of Vietnam until 2015, with an outlook until 2025. The purpose of the project is to produce gas from the Nam Con Son and Cuu Long basins offshore the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to supply it to the onshore gas refinery and consumers, namely power stations, nitrogen fertiliser plants, industrial infrastructure.
According to PV Gas (part of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Petrovietnam), the capacity of the two phase Nam Con Son-2 gas pipeline is 18.4mn/m3 of gas (7bn/m3 per year) and 1,320 tonnes of condensate per day. Its length is 325km, and thereafter, another 39km section stretches from Longhai to Fumi’s fertiliser plant and gas refinery with its capacity of 10mn/m3 of gas per day.
The implementation of the Nam Con Son-2 project started in 2011, however, in 2013, after having fulfilled the governmental instruction for amending the funding method applicable to the projects, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Petrovietnam and PV Gas divided this project into two stages.
NOTE
Gazprom International, with its 49% share, participates in the project in blocks no. 05-2 and no. 05-3 offshore the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, under a product sharing agreement in partnership with Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Petrovietnam (51%).
The industrial production in these blocks begun in September 2013. Currently, a daily production reaches approximately 5mn/m3 of gas, and a total of 3bn/m3 of gas has been produced since the start of the project implementation. The produced gas is supplied to consumers in South Vietnam via the Nam Con Son-1 Pipeline.
