Energy Trade Mission to Vietnam, 04 – 11 December 2014

Thursday, December 04, 2014 to Thursday, December 11, 2014

9 member companies joining Energy Trade Mission to Vietnam from 04 – 11 December 2014 have had a number of working visits to different energy companies in Hanoi, Hochiminh City and Vung Tau. Some of them are new members, while the others have ever been to Vietnam or have Vietnamese partners.

Before coming to Vietnam, each company of the delegation/AETIN’s members had received a list of related potential partners and projects in Vietnam and other reference information from VCT. VCT continuously updated and shared information for the delegation to have an effective working program.

VCT has made collective program at the request of the whole delegation and private programs as proposed by individual companies. The delegation has been received by senior management and relevant departments with effective discussions and potential opportunities.

Collective meetings to major local and international oil & gas companies/projects active in Vietnam such as Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical (NSRP), PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power), PetroVietnam (PVN), Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), Vietnam National Coal – Mineral Industries Holding Corporation (Vinacomin), Technip Vietnam Co. Ltd, PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC), PetroVietnam Gas JSC (PV Gas), Vietsovpetro (VSP), Petroleum Equipment Assembly & Metal Structure JSC (PVC-MS) and PetroVietnam Marine Shipyard JSC (PV Shipyard).

VCT has implemented logistics activities very carefully (including hotels, collective bus, restaurants, documents for partners, etc.) to help the delegation members feel comfortable during the trip. All the requirements of the delegates during making the program as well as visiting the partners always get effective support from VCT.

Most companies have achieved the goals set for the trip to Vietnam this time (please see individual report for each meeting attached). The feedback from the representative of Wouter Witzel Eurovalves (WWE), Mr. Robert Schuuring, Managing Director has shown the satisfaction with the trip: ‘Thank you very much for the nice and interesting trip we’ve made together. All companies had top quality products, but all in different applications, so we could really offer a nice package. And taking into account the good atmosphere I believe we’ve made a true  “Dutch Statement”. Thank you for that, I was really glad to be part of this. And to VCT, please continue your good work by getting the right companies and people at the table. Both in and for Vietnam’.
